Nour 10K Run (Review)

Nour 10K Run! The thought of the day alone gave our Nour runners butterflies in their stomachs! However after the continuous training, deprivation of those unhealthy but oh so lovely foods, and the constant pestering for sponsorships; the day reflected the blessings and mercy of Allah through success, Alhamdulillah!

The 6th of February portrayed the true essence of your average British weather; a gusty and gloomy day. Nonetheless Nour’s light and ironically the wind had pushed and motivated the runners to the end… as well as that chocolate cake awaiting patiently at the finishing line.

Nour would like to take this opportunity to thank all the generous and beautiful people that had made the event the success that it was and allowed us to raise a huge amount Masha’Allah; to all those that had kindly sponsored the runners and of course the runners themselves 🙂

Nour t-shirts ready for the runners

Where it all began. Trent Park, a stunning location, for a beautiful event

Standing up against domestic violence points to the right direction

Run like the wind!

Running into the distance …

The reflection of one of the runners on the finish line; smiles all around =D

Thank you for the lovely T-shirts Nour!
And also thank you for the opportunity the run gave me to get back into running again fully with the training involved for it. I am now motivated to try a half marathon and you never know the marathon itself one day!
