An afternoon with Nour, the ladies only fundraiser event. A large venue packed with a hall full of the best hijabs, jilbabs, jewellery and snack foods as well as another hall prepared especially for pampering and a balcony overlooking the large sports field, Frendford Youth club proved to be the perfect location to host such an event.
Starting the day with a free meal and mocktail of your choice, our guests made their way through our different stalls selling eastern and western fashion. There was something available for all age groups with girls enjoying delicate henna patterns while the younger ones excited to imprint their hands on a large Nour banner to show their support for this cause. The centre of attraction was no doubt our mocktail bar, which was in demand up to the very last minute of the event. It was Nour’s very own volunteers who came up with the recipes for these mocktails!
A special mention must go to our very kind hair and makeup artists, as well as our photographer, who generously donated their valuable time. It was touching to see so many people come together to support the cause of Nour and unite against domestic violence.
With different professionals approaching us at the event eager to support this cause, we realised the awareness of Nour was spreading far and wide Alhamdulillah. With a successful event we thank Allah subhana wa ta’ala for showering His abundant Mercy and Blessings over the event, and thank all the volunteers who worked effortlessly and immensely hard.
Colourful hijabs and beauty stalls were busy throughout the day
